Our History
The name Argent derives from 'argentum', which in Latin means white money or silver.
Argent Health & Safety is part of the Parabis Group of companies and was formed in June 2006. The creation of the firm was the vision of Tim Oliver, the Parabis Group CEO and highly respected travel industry lawyer. It was Tim who recognised a marketplace need for a specialist provider delivering a range of claims and risk management services to both insurance and business clients within the travel industry.
Initially focussing on the provision of health and safety audits for travel agents and tour operators; Argent Health & Safety quickly established itself as a market leading company. The firm are the company behind the ABTA Resort Check service which holds audit data on over 30,000 hotels and resorts. The growth of Argent Health & Safety was accelerated through the acquisition of Ron Wheal Associates, a niche health and safety audit and inspection company, in 2006.
In addition to the povision of health & safety audits, Argent expanded its portfolio of services to include the likes of crisis management, pre-litigaion claims outsourcing, safety management systems and bespoke training packages.
As of today Argent Health and Safety employs a team of UK and worldwide based consultants and includes the likes of ABTA, ABTOI, Pierre & Vacances, Touchstone Underwriting, Tui and many more amongst its growing client list.
